Update - March 2013

Hey peeps. Long time, no update. Things and stuff..

We went back to visit our friend J. Robbins at Magpie Cage in Baltimore for a week in January to record a new album. It was a lot of fun and we’re excited to share it with everyone. It was then sent over to Dan Coutant at Sun Room Audio to be mastered. Dan is the best, send him all your musical projects.

We will have a new 7inch single out sometime in early summer on DEAD BROKE REKERDS! It will include one song from the new album and an exlcusive b-side only available on that 7inch.

The full length album will be out August 27th on JUMP START RECORDS! Available on LP, CD and digitally. We also have two splits in-the-works with friends for later this year!

Lastly, we’ll be back at STAY SWEET FEST in Richmond again this April and POUZZA FEST in Montreal this May! We will be doing a full US tour and European tour this fall, following the release of our new album too.

As always, thanks for any and all support. Can’t wait to see everyone this year!

April 2012 Update

Just got back from two awesome weekends. The first was with our buds Aspiga up to Get Better Fest 2 in Keene, NH. We both played there on Friday night, along with a bunch of other amazing bands from around the country. Then made a stop in Hartford, CT for a show at The Whitney House on the way home. First time Broadcaster has played both those cities and we had a ton of fun. Thanks to everyone that helped to organize Get Better Fest and John/Doug from Fair Weather Records for setting up the CT show!

Then last weekend, we headed south with our Long Island homies, Censors. We played a great show in Philly at The IHOP Estate that included Crucial Dudes, Aspiga, State Lines, The Greek Favourites. Then we continued down to Stay Sweet Fest II in Richmond, VA.. Such a fun fest, so many awesome bands. Huge thanks to Alex Wilhelm for putting together one the most fun weekends ever. Also, special thank you to Rick & Tiff Maxwell for putting up Censors, Broadcaster, and a million other friends in their home all weekend!

Some new stuff - We’re playing FEST 11 in Gainesville, FL this October!

We’re also playing this awesome new Long Island festival in July - Today’s Mixtape Festival - that our buddy Jake at East Coast Collective has organized!

Pouzza Fest in Montreal is coming up in about a month and we’re headed out for a little Midwest tour the first week of May. Also, stoked to announce that we’ll be touring the West Coast with our buds All Eyes West this July/August. Dates and cities annonced soon. We’ll also be recording a new full length record this fall and it’ll be out sometime in 2013.

Come to these two Long Island shows -

4/28 - Roy’s Basement w/ Bastard Cut, Crow Bait, The Broosevelts

5/2 - Brew Haus w/ Censors, The Guests, Rockets On Wire

Belated news from March..

New Record

New Record

We are excited to announce that our new 7inch, Tightrope Walker, will be out March 20th on Jump Start Records! The 2-song vinyl/3-song digital release was recorded by J. Robbins at his studio Magpie Cage in Baltimore this past summer. The first pressing of 500 will be available on white (100) and translucent red (400). You can pick up a special pre-order package now over at Jump Start that includes the limited edition colored vinyl of your choice, a digital download code for the record, a limited edition t-shirt (only available with this pre-order), a poster, and a pin pack. You will also automatically be entered to win a free test pressing of the record when you pre-order. If you’re not into all the goodies (because you’re dumb), you can just grab the vinyl/immediate digital download here if you’d like.

This record is also being released in Europe by Jump Start’s brothers from across the pond, Ass Card Records. They have put out a ton of great releases over the years, everything from A Wilhelm Scream to Kill Your Idols, and a lot of the Jump Start catalog. We are stoked to have it available for any friends overseas that are looking to pick it up.

We were also in Jump Starts most recent newsletter as the featured band of the month. We’re very happy to be putting out music with these peckerwoods. They are doing a lot of awesome things this year, from a double-LP by Belvedere to the new MxPx LP on vinyl. Keep an eye out for all these awesome things and more.

Music Video

Music Video

We are in the process of shooting a music video for Tightrope Walker with our buddy Samuel Gursky. Sami the Snake (Smalls, Bebe-Boi) has been one of our closest friends for quite a while. He has done tours with us, booked us local shows, and also happens to be a very talented film editor/producer. He’s got a bunch of awesome projects in the works right now, including a documentary with the Bamboozle - The Gursky Project and a documentary on the Brooklyn Rocksteady scene. Definitely check those out.

Anyway, we began work on the video last weekend and will be finishing it up this weekend. It was a ton of fun so far and we are excited to see the end result. It basically just captures what happens when a few All-American men hangout in close quarters for too long. Smelt like farts and butt the entire time. It should be out sometime in early March to coincide with the release of the record.

Tour Dates

Pouzza Flyer

Lastly, we are happy to say that we are playing Pouzza Fest in Canada this May! The fest will take place May 18th to 20th in downtown Montreal, and headliners include Lagwagon, Hot Water Music, Less Than Jake, The Bouncing Souls, The Suicide Machines, The Lawrence Arms, Naked Raygun & a million other amazing bands. This fest we be insane and we are so pumped to be a part of it.

Also on the way, are two other equally awesome fests that we will be playing, Getter Better Fest 2 in New Hampshire and Stay Sweet Fest 2 in Virginia. Get Better will take place in Keene the first weekend of April; and Stay Sweet in Richmond the second weekend in April. Both of these fests are stacked with awesome bands from around the country. We will be doing some other regional dates around Get Better Fest with our little dingleberry boys in Aspiga. As well as a show with them, and our Long Island homies State Lines and Censors in Philly the day before Stay Sweet. Details on all of these dates shortly.

Alrighty.. think that’s it for now. We are stoked for this year, should be a lot of fun. We have a bunch of other stuff in the works too, including some more fests and hitting up most of this country before the end of this year. In the meantime, here is an interview from last month with Latency Magazine. Wipe your butt.
